Klamath

The Klamath river is one of the most picturesque rivers we fish. There are two large draws to this river. In the spring time the Stonefly hatch is where you want to be. You will get to throw big dry flies to eager trout. When these Stoneflies come out the usually wary trout go on a feeding frenzy and will rise all day long smashing your fly. This is a great choice for those who haven’t yet perfected their dry fly presentation. It is the most fun you can have with your pants on. In the winter and fall you get the thrill of a classic Steelhead river. This is a very dependable stretch of water and not normally subject to “blow out” from rain. This river differs from other steelhead waters in that there really is not much bank access and the boat traffic is very light. This is a great choice for those looking for a true Steelhead experience in California.
